What's New at Onward MTB - 2026/27 Season
The 2026/27 season is our most complete yet. We've taken everything we learned from last season's pilot programs, rebuilt our long-term coaching offering from the ground up, and added two new products to the lineup. Here's what's changed and what to expect.

Foundation ride groups: new for 2026/27
Foundation ride groups are a new structured coaching program for advanced junior riders who have outgrown intermediate group coaching and are ready for something more demanding.
Running term-time in after-school slots at Skyline, these weekly sessions blend structured skills coaching with real riding time, roughly half and half. Think quality coaching without the intensity of our Development Team. We're also weaving in a taste of performance training across the term: timed runs, a physical conditioning session, and the chance to ride alongside our Development Team athletes.
Three groups are available: boys 10–12, boys 13–14, and girls 10–14. Expressions of interest are open now - final details TBA.
Video analysis and coaching app: new for 2026/27
Post-session coaching doesn't stop when the ride ends. Our video analysis and coaching app add-on gives every client a dedicated coaching space where session footage, coach feedback, written notes and reference content live in one place.
Your coach records voiceover feedback on your riding, you can submit your own videos for review between sessions, and the whole record of your progression stays in one place for as long as you need it. Available as a $49 add-on to any half or full day session, and included as standard in all 3-packs and long-term programs.
I had a great season last year - tons of riding, progress and growth in my own riding.
Race simulations and holiday camps: building on last season
After running race simulation camps as a pilot last season, we're back with a more refined and structured program for 2026/27.
Two-day camps at Skyline Bike Park recreate a full race weekend: track walk, practice, seeding and finals, without the pressure of competitive results. The focus is on building personal race processes, covering how to warm up, how to approach a track walk, and how to manage nerves and find your best performance consistently.
Camps run in the September/October school holidays for riders aged 10–13 and 14–16. Spots are strictly limited to six riders per group.
Long-term coaching programs: rebuilt for 2026/27
Last season we ran separate skills and performance programs. This year they're one.
Every long-term coaching program now includes the full picture: structured skills coaching, timed training, Brakeace braking analysis, video analysis, continuous coach support and options for BYB suspension telemetry. The split between skills and performance never quite reflected how we actually coach, as everything feeds everything else, so bringing it together into one comprehensive program made sense.
Available in 6-session ($2,049) and 10-session ($3,249) blocks, with instalment options on both. Registration is by enquiry only and spots are limited each season.
